Experience

Pre-Sales Engineering – I’ve negotiated major contracts and developed statements of work. Collaborating with Sales and Engineering to assist potential corporate customers define their requirements and goals. I have also facilitated development of functional specifications.

Quality Assurance – As the manager of a team of five test engineers, we developed and implemented test plans, automated test suites, and migrated existing test suites to new platforms. The team was also responsible for installation testing and unit testing, automated as well as manual. One of my major responsibilities was to evaluate and provide analysis of test results to management and customers. My experience is with OpenSource Tools in addition to customer proprietary test suites.Project

Management – As Project Manager I was responsible for the planing, organizing, and managing of engineering resources for customers which included Microsoft, Eli Lilly, Co-Nect, Panhandle Plains Student Loan Center and Agilent. This involved coordinating teams of development engineers, quality assurance engineers, and customer contacts to determine time lines and milestones. Projects ranged from creating a web based loan application to porting the FrontPage Server Extensions from Windows to Vista and various UNIX platforms. The projects, ranged from $5K to over $400K, were completed under budget and on time.

Customer Service/Support – As the Frontline manager to corporate customers of five person engineering team resolved issues related to contracts while providing technical support (Tier 1 and Tier 2) for Ready-to-Run Software’s direct customers, and technical support for the Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions for UNIX, the Microsoft .NET Passport and Single Sign On Authentication UNIX server interface.
